Goleta Valley Art Association - Bringing Art to the Community 

The mission of The Goleta Valley Art Association is to provide an opportunity for its members to experience a variety of art activities and events through:
  • Workshops:  Members participate in a range of workshops that highlight and teach various artistic techniques
  • Newsletter:  A regularly distributed newsletter provides exposure and marketing opportunities , information on our membership and new pathways to grow as an artist
  • After School Art Program (ASAP): Teams of GVAA members visit local schools after hours bringing a wide range of art projects and appreciation for art.
  • Critiques:  Feedback and discussion of works presented stimulates conversation and growth as artists.  They also support  and help grow our community.
  • Community of Artists:  Through a range of activities and events, artist members connect to the local community of artists, encouraging exchange of ideas  and enhancing artistic identity.
  • Gallery Presence:  Exhibiting works in local galleries provides opportunity for exposure and potential sales.
  • Local Events:  Participation in local events provides a platform to connect with various audiences, enjoy camaraderie as artists and stimulate artistic growth.

The GVAA invites the community to visit our shows.  Watch for ads in The Voice Magazine promoting our shows for 2026, including those at Camino Real Marketplace in June; The Santa Barbara Tennis Club in March, July and August; The Voice Gallery in October, and Picassos4Peanuts in December. (Shows at the Goleta Library, our traditional location, are currently discontinued while the library is undergoing renovations.)
